"Had a strange burning smell coming from a socket late on a Friday night. Called CMJ and someone was at my house within 90 minutes. Fixed the issue, checked the consumer unit and all the circuits, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg for the emergency call. Really impressed."
"Used CMJ for a full consumer unit upgrade on my house in Roath. The electrician walked me through everything before starting, the NAPIT notification was handled the same day, and it passed inspection first time. The work area was cleaner when they left than when they arrived."
"We hired CMJ for the electrical fit-out of our new office. They were on time every day, communicated any changes immediately, and came in under the original estimate. We'll be using them for our second location without question."

For most jobs, yes. We'll need access to the property and to the consumer unit. For larger jobs like rewires, someone needs to be available or we can agree arrangements for access. We'll confirm what's needed when we do the quote.
A standard consumer unit replacement on a typical three-bedroom house takes a full day. There will be a period without power while the new board is fitted, usually a few hours. We'll give you a clear time estimate before we start and work to it.
An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is a formal inspection and test of a property's electrical installation. Landlords in Wales are legally required to have one every 5 years under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016. Homeowners should have one if the property is more than 25 years old and the wiring hasn't been inspected, or before buying or selling. We carry them out and issue the report the same day where possible.
